چکیده
Gas turbine engines are highly intricate machines, and every component of them is closely associated with one another. In the traditional engine developing process, vast experiment tests needed. To reduce unnecessary trials, a whole gas simulation extremely For this purpose, compressor tool now developed. Considering inherent drawbacks 0D analysis 3D CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) calculation, 2D throughflow method an indispensable tool. Based on circumferential average (CAM), Navier–Stokes transformed into method. One phenomenon arising that lack description about motion leads to need for blade force modeling in simulation. Previous models based assumption flow passes through stream surface without entropy increasing, which not applicable CAM. An improved model proposed result from CAM NUMECA linear cascade. Whereafter, applied loaded low-speed fan, has been tested its performance characteristics. Utilizing new model, error adiabatic efficiency between decreases 4.0% 1.0% accuracy mass flow, pressure ratio remains unchanged. The time involved nearly 70 times faster than

Static fracture and modal analysis simulation of a gas turbine compressor blade and bladed disk system
This paper presents a methodology for conducting a 3-D static fracture analysis with applications to a gas turbine compressor blade. An open crack model is considered in the study and crack-tip driving parameters are estimated by using 3-D singular crack-tip elements in ANSYS . The static fracture analysis is verified with a special purpose fracture code (FRANC3D). Once the crack front is perfe...
متن کاملBlade Geometry Optimization for the Design of Wind Turbine Rotors
This paper describes a blade geometry optimization method for wind turbine rotors in which considerations are given to aerodynamics, structures, noise, and cost. An existing computer program named PROPGA, which is a genetic-algorithm based optimization method for wind turbines, provided part of the foundation for this work. The objective was to develop and implement structures and costs modelin...
متن کاملThermo-mechanical modeling of a high pressure turbine blade of an airplane gas turbine engine
During their operation, modern aircraft engine components are subjected to increasingly demanding operating conditions, especially the high pressure turbine (HPT) blades. Such conditions cause these parts to undergo different types of time-dependent degradation, one of which is creep. A model using the finite element method (FEM) was developed, in order to be able to predict the creep behaviour...
متن کاملconceptual design of a centrifugal compressor impeller for a 65 kw micro gas turbine
the aim of this study is designing the impeller of a centrifugal compressor in order to supply pressure ratio for a 65 kw micro gas turbine. first, the primary thermodynamic analysis has been conducted for the considered cycle using a home made code. herein, the compressor pressure ratio was considered to be 4. the obtained thermal efficiency was 25.64%. then, the design of micro compressor in ...
متن کاملProcess simulation of an air cooled gas turbine blade
Blade cooling is a relevant topic in the design of modern gas turbine engines, because of the increase in performance due to the resulting increase in the inlet turbine temperature is counteracted by a corresponding decrease due to the air extraction from the high-p compressor. In this paper, a previous model published by De Paepe & Dick is revisited and extended: while the original model consi...
